It doesn’t matter if this event was artificially created or not to cover the previous disinformation lies. The most important thing is that many people found excuses for violence, although they didn’t support it in 2015, when French magazine Charlie Hebdo was attacked. It looks to me that the reason behind those attacks was the main criteria for this position, not the gesture itself. In the first case was about defending a woman (by the way, I haven’t heard Chris Rock joking about her alopecia), and in the second it was the traditional image of God from Islamic religion. The feminism has a problem with tacitly accepting violence on male verbal abusing tacitly accepting violence on male verbal abusing , which eventually turns into violence against women and against the unprivileged ones.
